I have been enjoying the new Points Plus program. Yes, you still have to measure your food, write down everything you eat and keep track of points. BUT, all fruit are 0 points! Most vegetables are 0 points! Some foods have gone up in points, some down. It is also easier because more food choices are coming out with 100 calorie servings, or low to no fat options, plus smaller serving sizes (hello little ice creams!). I have 29 points to use in a day and I usually have enough left over to have a little treat at the end of the day. I also have an extra 49 points to use however I want during the week. PLUS, if I exercise I could earn back some points to use. Fantastic!
For instance, not only did I eat healthy last week (got all my fruits and vegetabls in, had some protein, and drank all my water), I also had popcorn at the movies one night, I had Dairy Queen one night, and some chips. All within my points!
So far it is working for me. I like that. My friend, Jules, is also doing it with me, so that is good motivation. My goal is to be at my goal weight by the fall. That would be sweet!
